Many of us don't have any symptoms that we consistently or noticeably experience before diagnosis. We really need more opportunities to prevent disease and once diagnosed, better monitor and control our condition.
I didn't notice any symptoms at all before I had a stroke. I went to sleep and I woke up and the whole right side of my body was paralysed. I laughed because I thought, "Pinch of the nerve," and then I realised that something more serious than that was going on.
